William B. Most, Of Counsel
Mr. Most works with individuals, nonprofits, businesses, cities, and tribes in a variety of administrative, judicial, and transactional contexts, with special emphasis on the California Environmental Quality Act, state clean water laws, and federal civil rights laws. His work with ATA has helped to stop oil and gas companies from discharging known carcinogens into groundwater designated as drinking water, while also working to preserve the integrity of protected California parkland. In 2015, Mr. Most brought two civil rights suits on behalf of Glenn Ford, a Louisiana man who spent twenty-nine years on death row, before being exonerated and released. Prior to joining ATA as Of Counsel, Mr. Most was an associate at Briscoe Ivester & Bazel LLP. He holds a J.D. from the UC Berkeley School of Law, and an A.B. from Harvard University.
